Icelandic poppies bring a joyful explosion of color to our spring garden every year, and we love growing them! These spectacular blooms are an open pollinated mix of amazing sherbet colors (peach, white, golden yellow, orange, and watermelon pink) from our farm, and produce very long stems for cut flower arranging. Icelandic Poppies are absolutely worth the extra effort of starting in late winter + planting early spring for stunning late spring blooms.

Note: we do not recommend pinching Icelandic Poppies.

Packets contain about 25 seeds.

Germination and Growing info: Transplanting recommended: Sow in trays in January for May/June blooms. Do not cover seed as light is required for germination. Keep seed trays at 65-75°F. Bottom water or gently mist to avoid covering the seed with soil. Transplant into larger packs after the first true leaves appear. Harden off and transplant outside when plants are about 2"-3" tall.
Direct seed option (not recommended): Sow as soon as soil can be worked in late winter. Do not cover seed as light is required for germination. Keep soil moist.  Final spacing min. 9” apart.
