This listing is for one (1) live plant: a ready-to plant rooted dahlia cutting shipped in a soilless medium. Our rooted cuttings are taken from virus-tested, tissue culture-propagated plant material.
Sandia Ruthie is a glorious watermelon-coral stellar form dahlia, similar in color to American Dawn but with a much taller, open habit, graceful, curving petals, and super long, strong stems. Stems resist sunburn but fade gently into a creamy peach as Sandia Ruthie ages in the garden. Its 5" blooms glow up any arrangement, and we predict this will be on many dahlia gardeners' wishlists this year! We are so pleased to add this tuber to our Legacy collection as a 2024 Introduction from Birch Bay Dahlias, hybridized by local-to-us dahlia breeders Steve and Sandy Boley. Plant height 48".

Often flowering before tuber-planted dahlias, rooted cuttings bloom and grow vigorously and produce a small tuber clump at the end of the season which can be saved for future years of beauty. Learn more about growing rooted dahlia cutting plants here.
